Shark Labs is small on purpose. You talk to the person writing the code, the scope stays honest because there's no sales layer between the promise and the work, and nothing gets handed to a junior after the contract is signed.

Shark Labs is a founder-led software studio based in Bengaluru, India, working remotely with clients worldwide. It is run by Yash Mittal, a full-stack engineer who has shipped production applications on Aztec, Sui, Solana and Ethereum, and who publishes an open-source TypeScript SDK on npm. The studio offers web development, app development, monthly retainers and AI integration — and is deliberately structured so that shipping is the middle of an engagement rather than the end of it.

Who actually does the work

Shark Labs is run by Yash Mittal, a full-stack engineer based in Bengaluru. When you email the studio, that's who replies, and when the code gets written, that's who writes it. Specialists are brought in for design and for platform work that genuinely needs another pair of hands, but there is no version of an engagement where the person you spoke to isn't the person building it.

That's a real constraint as much as a selling point. It means we take on a small number of projects at a time and turn down work that doesn't fit. It also means nothing gets promised in a meeting the engineering can't support, because the same person is in both rooms.

What he's shipped — and where

Shark Labs is new. Rather than dress up prior work as studio case studies, here is exactly what it is: engineering the founder shipped at Cyphronix Software, all of it public and running.

It's blockchain work rather than AI work, and it's here because of what it demonstrates: shipping production systems into environments where the tooling doesn't exist yet, which is the same problem AI integration presents today.

  • [Raven House](https://app.ravenhouse.xyz/) — a privacy-preserving NFT marketplace on Aztec's ZK rollup, built solo from frontend to indexer. Nothing off the shelf indexed Aztec, so it needed a custom event indexer processing eight event types in parallel across rolling block windows.
  • [Raven Bridge](https://bridge.ravenhouse.xyz/) — a cross-chain bridge moving assets between L1 Ethereum portals and L2 Aztec contracts, with zkPassport identity verification that clears without the passport data ever leaving the user.
  • [@ravenhouse/omni-sdk](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@ravenhouse/omni-sdk) — a published TypeScript SDK with nine sub-module exports, past sixty releases. That release count is an honest measure of what it costs to build against a network still changing underneath you.
  • [Red Sentinel](https://app.suisentinel.xyz/) — a crowdsourced arena where people compete to jailbreak AI agents for money, with system prompts executing inside a TEE so nobody, including the operator, can rewrite an agent mid-round. Contracts on Sui Move, Solana Anchor and Solidity.

How engagements actually run

Three things shape every project, and they're the same three whether it's a $1,500 site or a $25,000 product.

Scope in days, not months

A short paid discovery ends in a fixed plan: what gets built, what it costs, when it lands. That order — investigate, then quote — is why the price can be fixed at all. A number produced before anyone has read the code is a guess, and guesses get corrected in the studio's favour later.

Ship in slices

Working software in front of real users early, then iterated. You see something running in the first week, even when it's ugly. There is no six-month reveal, because a six-month reveal is a six-month period in which nobody can tell whether the project is going well.

Stay in the water

Most studios hand over a repository and disappear. That's the moment software starts decaying: dependencies drift, model versions get deprecated, and nobody owns the thing. Retainers are a named, priced service here rather than an afterthought, and the whole studio is structured on the assumption that launch is the middle of the job.

What we turn down

Worth stating, because a studio that claims to do everything is telling you something about how carefully it does any of it.

  • Work that doesn't need us. A distressing share of AI enquiries are data problems, process problems, or a search box nobody ever fixed. If that's the situation, we'll say so on the call.
  • Staff augmentation. We're not a body shop. If you need a developer inside your team taking tickets from your PM, an agency retainer is a bad way to buy that.
  • Pure visual redesigns. If the brief is that a working site looks dated, a design studio will serve you better.
  • Anything requiring us to fake credibility. No ghost-written testimonials, no borrowed logos, no case studies for projects that didn't happen.
  • More than we can do well at once. Being small means occasionally saying the honest thing about capacity instead of taking the work and stretching.

Where we are, and why it doesn't matter much

Shark Labs is built from Bengaluru and works remotely worldwide. In practice that means a working day overlapping comfortably with Europe and the Middle East, and a few hours with the US east coast. Clients in the US west coast get a handover rhythm rather than a shared afternoon, which some teams prefer and some don't.
